Using the word “bored” to indicate disdain for a conversation or the subject of a conversation is lazy.
But this is common and interesting. What is worse, is that it’s vague and an obvious cover to avoid taking responsibility for how that subject makes you feel
or how you feel while wanting to avoid it.
Gay Pride parades are “boring” so that’s why I don’t like to talk about them.
Interesting, huh?
I mean, I think these considerations aren’t judgmental, negative, critical or dismissive — they’re just, you know, boring but interesting.
Right?
