Sure it is
People who talk about the things that bug them with frequent use of the phrase, “it’s the little things...” sometimes don’t know what real heartbreak feels like...
It’s the little things
is only true
When it happens to be true.
Sometimes
It’s the big things,
But when someone says
“it’s the little things”
That’s all you can think about
For awhile.
A good friend
Recently told me that
A little bag of butt-plugs
Was stolen by her angry lover
During their break-up.
“It’s the little things” she said.
And I both understood
And agreed (somehow).
It’s the little things...
unless it’s the big ones.
